We and our allies have defeated all enemies in Iraq, including Al Qaeda in Iraq. We have brought peace and security to major hot spots in the country such as Fallujah and Basra. We captured and executed members of the previous terrorist regime. We assisted in the development of a new constitution for Iraq and a parliamentary government and fought back the remaining insurgency via the troop surge policy.
