On Saturday, President-Elect Zero announced that his administration will lead the charge on a massive government spending increase meant to deliver the largest public-works program since President Eisenhower instituted the construction of the interstate highway system in the 1950's.
According to The Washington Post, Obama's plans include "a renewed effort to make public buildings energy-efficient, rebuild the nation's highways, renovate aging schools and install computers in classrooms, extend high-speed Internet to underserved areas and modernize hospitals by giving them access to electronic medical records."
Oh boy, if the government is offering the $$ for the work, bureaucracy will almost surely get in the way. Where is ALL this money coming from? How long will our kids and grandkids be paying for it...
